There will be no nominations from the floor at the Annual Meeting, which is currently scheduled for early May.
In order to be placed on the ballot, the petition must be signed by 80 fellow Compass members. Interested nominees must also provide a Qualifications/Bio form, which is also available for download at the bottom of this page. All paperwork, including the petition, is to be emailed to the Nominations Committee at [email protected] by March 24.
Current nominees for the Board include incumbents Mike Ferlito and Andrew Bucher, as well as Angela Galvin and Christine Close.
Retired and working part-time for Novelis, Ferlito served as the President of the Board from 2011-2018. Prior to being elected to the Board, Ferlito served on the Supervisory Committee and in his years has been instrumental in two credit union mergers and served on several committees, most recently for the new Fulton office.
Bucher, a Lieutenant of Criminal Investigations for the Oswego County Sheriff’s office, is seeking his second term on the Board. Bucher supervises nine criminal investigators and is involved in hiring, writes policy and has to be mindful of budgetary regulations.
Galvin serves as the Admin Asst. to the VP for Administration & Finance at SUNY Oswego. Recently appointed to the Hall Newman Center Foundation Board, Galvin is well versed in working collaboratively with others to achieve a shared purpose.
Close is a 20-year member of the credit union and has held several leadership positions during her 21-year career with Oswego Health. Now retired, Close served as the Director of Physician Practice Management and was responsible for all phases of primary care and specialty practices.
